High Court to hear NPA and PSNC cases together

The NPA has confirmed that both the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee’s (PSNC) and the NPA’s legal challenges to the pharmacy funding cuts will be heard in a joint sitting. The highly anticipated hearing will commence at the High Court in the week beginning March 20. NPA chief operating officer David Simons added: “The sector has been very fortunate to get its day in court, as 92% of judicial reviews fail at the first hurdle”.
2015 GMP inspection deficiency data trend

The newly published 2015 GMP inspection deficiency data trend enables stakeholders to self-assess deficiency findings. Deficiency examples are featured for each relevant chapter and the new data provides insights to facilitate identification of:
- The frequency and gravity by the EU GMP references
- The total number of deficiencies within each category (Critical, Major, Other)
The high impact vs high frequency issues

The 2015 GMP inspection deficiency data trend has been published yesterday.
The GMDP Inspectorate has improved the way of gathering the inspection deficiency data for 2015. The new data trending can allow stakeholders to identify:
-The severity and frequency by the EU GMP references
-The overall number of deficiencies by categories: Critical, Major, Other
-The high impact vs high frequency issues
The purpose of publishing the inspection deficiency data is to allow stakeholders to perform their own assessment against the deficiency findings as part of self-inspection and continuous improvement.
Deficiency examples are included for each relevant chapter and annex for information.
